I’d
be wrong to say I wasn’t disappointed after last night’s exit from the
play-offs against Sheffield United. I was very positive going into the tie and I
had high hopes for us. But to be honest Sheffield
were the better side for the second leg....

The last few week’s have been massive for Boro. We have seen us gain back the confidence and winning mentality that we had when we had Westley as manager, and as a result push through to gain the final league 1 play-off place with a 3-0 victory over Bury...

A
few people have asked me my opinion on the replacement for Graham – Gary Smith,
so here goes…
To
be honest I don’t really know much about him, other than he managed Colorado Rapids
in the MLS league in the U.S, and that he used to play for Wycombe...

Boro
have been quite active in the transfer window with moves seeing Harrison leaving the club and Luke Freeman joining
permanently and an Everton youngster joins us on loan.
Normally
this would be the matter on everyone’s lips, but instead...

First
and foremost I have to say well done to the team on Saturday. It wasn’t
particularly pleasant to watch at times, as it was a bit scrappy, but we dug
deep and got the three points.
We
are now eighth in the league, and a point behind Carlisle...

We
have been dealt a blow this week, as John Mousinho has been ruled out for six
weeks, so it won’t be until the new year arrives that we see him back playing
on the pitch.
Mous
injured his metatarsal in his right foot against Hartlepool
in the...

After
the disappointment of not getting three points against Yeovil, I think the result
on Tuesday night against Brentford would have put a smile on most faces.
It
was a difficult away game, both teams had their chances, but it was down to one
...

After
the amazing win against Sheffield Wednesday just over a week ago, we were brought back down to earth at the weekend as we lost 2-0 at home to Notts County. Let's just hope it is all part of the learning curve and we can come back with a bang this...

I’ve
just realised I haven’t updated my blog since Boro’s mighty 5-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday. I must still have had my head in the
clouds or something!
I
don’t really know where to start with Tuesday’s match. We were on top from the...

It’s
been a little while since I have posted, but I am pleased to say Boro have so
far been doing the business on the pitch.
We’re
currently sitting pretty in 11th place – 3 points of a play-off
position (we can all dream right?!) and 5 points...

After
a difficult game against Hartlepool at the
weekend Boro are set to play MK Dons away tomorrow.
I
thought we did well in the first 15 minutes or so on Saturday. If anything we
looked like the team who was more likely to score. It seemed that...

We
did it!
We
got our first win, and most importantly our first away win of the season last
night.
I
wasn’t able to go to the game, so it was a case of frantically checking the
score online and through my phone.
I
was chuffed to bits to...

Normally
taking a point away from home isn’t something to be too disappointed about but
last weekend I couldn’t help but feel a little let down.
Boro
managed to get a goal ahead against Chesterfield
on Saturday through the one and only Darius Charles....

Our
first game in League 1 was completed at the weekend against Exeter. A 0-0 draw, so not quite what we were
all hoping for but at least we didn’t concede and most importantly we didn’t lose.
We’re
currently sitting 16th in the league (above relegation...

I
have to admit I have been a bit lax of late writing this blog. So I will just
use the excuse that whilst the players were having their break, I was too. In
fact the true reason for my lack of posts has been because I have moved house –
cue boxes...
